Effective techniques to calm your nerves, maintain your focus, and nail those one-liners!
Face your fears and transform your nervous energy into success! This unique workshop will equip you with the tools to manage and cope with your anxiety that shows up for auditions and performances. You will learn about your nervous system, and gain new techniques in visualization and bodywork to help you work through stressful situations.
Newly added - we will look at a variety of 1-line auditions and examine how to prep for these short, tough scenes.
In this workshop you will:
build a personalized pre-audition ritual, whether you have 60, 30, or 10 minutes before entering the audition room,
gain insight into how fear uniquely manifests in each person's body,
learn to utilize your nervous energy so it works with you instead of against you.
understand how to prepare for the dreaded one-line audition

Ever since she was cast as the Lead Witch in Macbeth - for Kids, Veenu never wanted to do anything else but act. She tried very hard to live a conventional life and do as she was told, but her heart pulled her to Vancouver, BC in 2006 and her acting career began to sprout.
After growing her career over the past decade or so, Veenu has multiple credits; most notably her recurring role as Prisha in the highly-acclaimed Netflix series Lost in Space. She has worked on other acclaimed projects including A Million Little Things (ABC), Supernatural (CW), Surface (Apple+), and the feature film A Dog's Way Home.
Veenu is keen to share the knowledge she has gained since she started in the industry with new actors. She currently is an instructor at Vancouver Film School & also coaches actors privately. For more information about her workshops, please see the Audition Anxiety Workshop section of this page.
